Nestled in central Portugal, Marinha Grande’s glassmaking heritage dates back to the establishment of the Portuguese Royal Glassworks, drawn to the area by its abundant pine forests that fueled the roaring wood-fired ovens. Over the centuries, this small village has transformed glassmaking into an art form, celebrated both locally and worldwide.
Our glass components are crafted using an age-old, ancestral technique. The master glassmaker begins by gathering molten glass at the end of a metal cane, skillfully shaping it through a delicate process of blowing and manipulating air inside the glowing sphere. This meticulous, handmade approach imbues each piece with a unique character, a testament to the hands that create it.
